So I read this for my students in the Academic Decathlon. I was their coach for this subject, history, and I had to make tests up based on their reading. I read it at the same pace they did, sections were already assigned. This was an amazing book. I loved the history of the national parks. I would love to visit many of them, however, I hear so many crazy stories about the national parks and about the number of people who go missing each year, I’ll pass. Yes, this is a child’s book, but still a very good read.
If you want to learn about the history of each state park in the US, this is a fun and easy read. It had so many pictures and interesting facts. Again, this is a great book for both parents and children. I think it shows the beauty that can be found in our own backyard.
